Adolescent Consultation Services (ACS) operates the Juvenile Court Clinics for the juvenile courts in Middlesex County.

ACS has staff at the juvenile court sites in Cambridge, Framingham, and Lowell, and provides coverage for Waltham.

These clinics provide court-ordered diagnostic and therapeutic services for court-involved youth and their families. Typically the youth are before the court on Child In Need of Services (CHINS) Petitions or on delinquency matters.

CHINS cases include:

  • Runaway
  • Habitual Truant
  • Habitual School Offender, and
  • Stubborn Child Petitions.

Delinquency matters range from minor first-time offenses to more serious and multiple charges such as Assault and Battery, Armed Robbery, and Indecent Assault.

ACS clinicians work closely with judges and probation staff to ensure compliance with the evaluation process and services that follow. ACS is composed of an interdisciplinary staff with bilingual capacity, as we serve an ethnically and racially diverse population of youth.
